Who can participate in the Uraan AI Challenge?

The challenge is open to three categories: AI Expert (professionals, researchers, graduates 25+ years), AI Youth (undergraduate students), and AI Junior (students Grade 6-12). All participants must be Pakistani citizens or residents.

What should I submit for my application?

Submission requirements vary by category: Expert category needs a working MVP or functional prototype, Youth category requires a conceptual prototype with partial implementation, and Junior category needs an idea card, storyboard, or simple prototype.

Can I participate as part of a team?

Yes! Teams of 2-5 members are encouraged. All team members must be from the same eligibility category and register together during the application process.

What support will be provided during the competition?

Participants will receive mentorship from industry experts, access to bootcamps and workshops, technical resources, and guidance throughout the development process. Regional orientation sessions will also be conducted.

What happens after winning the competition?

Projects will be evaluated based on innovation, technical implementation, real-world impact potential, alignment with Pakistan's development goals, and presentation quality. A panel of expert judges from academia and industry will conduct the evaluation.

What happens after winning the competition?

Winners receive cash prizes, incubation support, mentorship opportunities, and access to Pakistan's innovation ecosystem. Many winners go on to receive funding for their startups or secure positions with leading tech companies.
